The 3rd Album - Your Heart Beside Me
My third album was completed at the end of last year, 2024. So why the delay?
The Quandary
The songs are too difficult for me to perform live and most require a backing band. So, unlike many songsters I cannot easily promote them through gigging.
So, I decided my best course of action to promote the album would be to build up my following on Social Media platforms. This has been successful and I have now reached a point where its time to launch the album! The first three tracks will be released a few weeks apart as singles, and then the remainder to make up the Album of eleven songs.
About the new album
Most of the songs were initially composed using keyboards – despite my limited ability I found this route more inspiring and productive forth e development of melodies.
The songs are essentially about moods and moments including some reflections on past events in my life. I gues most songs are!
As a genre I would describe the songs as Bluesy Pop, and my aim for this 3rd album was to make a more cohesive group of songs from the earlier 2 albums but different enough from each other to be memorable!
In the time since my 2nd album I have worked hard to improve my vocal technique, but at same time some of the songs have been more challenging to sing and not all are suited to my voice. Hence the support of vocalist Rose!

I plan to start working on my 4th album soo, and this wil be more guitar based and focused around my vocal style and ability. A new challenge ahead . . .
