About Me as a Songwriter

 

I love music. It provides the warmth inside a damp room.

 

We listen and wait.

 

We hold our breath. What will that new melody do for me?

 

Will there be some mind-bending lyrics? Some that will make me look at the world differently, what can take me out of my comfort zone? Challenge my thinking.

 

I have always been interested in why mankind is driven in so many different directions. Put simply: How we can create so many amazing things and yet wield so much destruction on each other and the environment.

 

I reflect constantly about the nature of what we call “our society”. How we separate ourselves from the rest of the natural world.

 

The never-ending contradiction; the amazing things we can create and do to help each other versus the brutal way we treat our environment and go to war on each other on a large and individual scale.
